This document identifies various actions in nine strategic areas to address recruitment retention and education and training issues.
Drafting of the strategy involved consultation with individuals and organisations throughout the South Waikato District to ensure that education and training available in the district meet the needs of industry, so that: - Employers have the right skills to support the success of their businesses; and - Individuals have the skills they need to be employable, adaptable and personally fulfilled.
The action plan is crucial for the provision of skills and knowledge needed for the future growth of the South Waikato District economy. It brings together a shared vision and direction for the district and provides a clear and achievable pathway to long-term sustainable employment, education and training outcomes.
